Samsung enhances Global mobile R&D Centers
Samsung Electronics announced its expansion of research and development (R&D) Centers in Poland, India and China.

Currently operated R&D centers in China and India will increase engineers and related facilities while Telecom R&D organization is newly established in Warsaw, Poland. The R&D centers will start their projects from this fall.

New R&D organizations will focus on Software Engineering of mobile phones and customization of applications for its respective markets.

Geesung Choi, President of Samsung's Telecommunication Network Business, said: "Samsung has been committed to long-term development in emerging markets such as central Europe, India and China. With strong local R&D organizations, I expect to continuously strengthen our market position in these regions."

Samsung's Telecommunication Network Business, which covers mobile phone and telecom infrastructure, currently operates five overseas R&D Centers in U.K., U.S., China, Israel, and India.
