Samsung unleashes global cell phone with auto roaming in 90countries
The time has arrived. From now on, mobile users will be able to travel around the world without being limited to the mobile standard of their next destination.

On the 13th, Samsung Electronics and SK Telecom unveiled its latest cell phone (Model: SCH-V920) that is capable of handling all three (CDMA, European GSM, Japan's JCDMA) system signals, allowing auto roaming in 90 different countries worldwide. This is a first time anyone has come up with worldwide roaming cell phone.

Samsung released the 'real world phone' through SK Telecom. The SCH-V920 works on CDMA (Asia, Australia, North & South America), European GSM and JCDMA, the Japanese CDMA standard. It covers roaming area from 800MHZ to 1800MHz.

The world phone can send and receive both incoming and outgoing text messages in GSM using European regions. SK Telecom will drop its normal service fee (50 cent per call) and offer free text message service through end of October in GSM affected areas.

SCH-V920 comes in popular14.9mm (0.59 in) slim slide design and has built in electronics translator (anycall) that can translate simple phrases in Korean into English, Japanese or Chinese, 1.3 mega pixel digital camera, Bluetooth, navigator and MP3 player.

SCH-V90 comes in dark gray, bright red, shiny silver and white colors with price tag of 500,000 Won ($500).

New real world phone, the SCH-V920 is compatible in 90 countries with CDMA, GSM and JCDMA.
