Ahnlab, MS security software not enough to influence market
Ahnlab made interesting prediction on launching of MS security software business in domestic market and said ¡°It won¡¯t really affect much of domestic data security industry¡±
Ahnlab made the comment as they announced its latest release of V3 Internet Security 2007 Platinum on 3rd, July.

President Chul-Soo Kim of Ahnlab said, ¡°Microsoft is the giant company but in security products they lack much of competitive power and it won¡¯t be easy for them to make it in the market. In their initial stage, they won¡¯t even make the dent in the market. Like others before them, MS will have to learn through trials and errors to gain experience in security software market.¡±

President Kim explained, ¡°MS is working to find solutions to the security vulnerabilities in its own windows OS but only on previously known security issues and not on newly surfacing various securities issues at hand. MS entering the security software market will not affect current market leaders in this field.¡±

In addition, he said, ¡°MS¡¯ OneCare service did not include any participation from domestic virus engines ¡°.

Unlike other security related software companies worldwide with showing concerns and reactions to come up with counter strategy, the no.1 domestic security software company Ahnlab showed much confidence in their current position.

Meanwhile, Ahnlab¡¯s latest release of ¡®V3 IS 2007 Platinum¡¯ includes two personal versions and two professional industry versions.

The personal version ¡®V3 IS 2007 Platinum¡¯ has all in one antivirus, anti spyware, PC firewall features and the professional version ¡®V3 IS 7.0 Platinum Enterprise¡¯ and ¡®V3 IS 7.0 enterprise¡¯ offer link to Ahnlab Policy Center 3.0 website as an added bonus support.

Ahnlab will release the latest versions in Japan, South East Asia, Europe, South America and other English speaking countries simultaneously as a global strategy to push its brand.
