Samsung awarded Best in Europe
A Samsung LCD TV, home theater system, mobile phone and digital camera have all been selected for the prestigious awards from the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) this year, each in a different product category.

EISA is the Europe's largest editorial multimedia organization, boasting fifty member magazines covering audio, mobile electronics, video and photo products in twenty European countries. Each summer, the members convene to select the best products introduced in Europe during the previous twelve months. Five separate panels of experts make the product selections in their respective categories: Audio & Home Theater (HT), Convergence, Mobile Electronics, Photo and Video.

Four Samsung products, the LE40R81B/86BD LCD TV, HT-TXQ120 home theater, Ultra Edition 12.1 (SGH-U700) mobile phone and i70 digital camera were among the 2007 winners. This is the fourth consecutive year for Samsung home theater systems to be so honored, while the digital camera from Samsung Techwin has won for the second straight year. All these items are permitted to bear the EISA Mark for the next twelve months, attesting to superior quality and boosting the product marketability as well as brand image.

In 2006, four Samsung products and a technology (A home theater system, photo printer, ultra-mobile PC, compact digital camera, and LED backlight technology for LCD TV) were selected for EISA Awards. The company also received awards for a 40" LCD TV, home theater system and MP3 player in 2005.

The soft, transparent lines of the lower bezel suggest the outline of a crystal wine glass. The overall appearance is enhanced by a blue LED lighting effect (which can be switched on or off) that resembles a warm underwater glow.

The front, side edges and rear are coated with a high-gloss finish that projects a black pearl look. The exquisitely detailed design is like a glittering jewel, while the soft-touch control buttons take TV elegance to a new level.
