Samsung responds to counterfeit cartridge issue, ensures customers have best possible products
Samsung Electronics announced that it will take stronger action in response to manufacturers and providers of counterfeit printer cartridges, which are confusing customers seeking to buy original Samsung Printing Supplies Products. Samsung is taking action to protect consumers and help ensure that purchase decisions are the right choice for high-quality Samsung products.

The company is redoubling its efforts to enforce intellectual property rights, investigating any manufacturers and traders who counterfeit Samsung Printing Supplies with inferior quality and no guarantees. Samsung is not only identifying and closing down illegal traders, but is also taking punitive action against counterfeit suppliers, working closely with professional investigators and police authorities.

To help limit counterfeiting, Samsung offers regular training and awareness workshops for enforcement authorities, delivering up-to-date information on how to differentiate between original and counterfeit supplies and products. These workshops are available at all times. As part of this effort, Samsung attended a technical seminar in the UAE organized by ICCE (The Imaging Consumables of Coalition of Europe Middle East and Africa), the anti-counterfeit association focusing on the EMEA markets.

Samsung's education campaign also includes a supplies original label attached to each product package, with leaflets and point-of-purchase displays in retail stores explaining how the labeling works. In China and the MEA regions, where counterfeiting is most prevalent, Samsung is also establishing a toll-free number for consumer questions.

Furthermore, Samsung strictly counters infringements of its intellectual property rights and proactively addresses any IP infringement case that is brought to its attention. This is not only to protect the technology that Samsung invented, but to maintain the company's global reputation as a reliable supplier. To that end, Samsung has organized a special task force and worked closely with legal and industry experts to take the most efficient actions.
