Pantech enters Peruvian GSM Market
Pantech announced today that it has signed an agreement with Claro, the second largest mobile service provider in Peru for the supply of its five models of GSM handset PG-3210, PG-C120, PG-6100, S100 and A100.

The deal with Claro, the Peruvian affiliate of America Movil, the largest mobile service provider in Latin America underscores that Pantech Group has proven its competency in technology and has successfully addressed the needs of consumers in Latin America.

S. Jay Yim, the Head of Overseas Marketing Division, Pantech Group, said: "Since 2005, we have significantly expanded our operations in Latin America, by strengthening the partnership with the largest and the most reliable mobile service carrier of the region. It shows how important this region is to Pantech. The launch of our GSM handsets in Peru will help us ramp up our business in Latin America."

PG-C120, a bar-type camera phone in appearance, weighs less than 75g and features a VGA camera, a color display, MP3 ring tones and a speaker phone. It also holds WAP 2.0/Java 2.0, SMS and e-mail applications.

PG-3210, one of the world's smallest clamshell GSM phones, weighs just 70g and features a unique design with a radical avant-garde style. Despite the small size of the phone, users can enjoy up to 150 minutes of talk time and 160 hours of standby time. It also has a 300K pixel CCD camera.

The launch of PG-C120 and PG-3210 will be followed by the launch of S100, A100 and PG-6100. S100, a sleek and slim candy bar phone, has been honored by iF Gold Selection 2007. PG-6100, an intenna clamshell phone boasts a combination of both camera and phone technology, as well as a trendy and stylish design.
