On the 8th, Samsung Electronics announced unveiling of its new Ultra Smart F700 mobile phone, HSDPA ready with touch screen which will be showcased at the 3GSM World Congress, the world's premier mobile event being held 12th thru 15th in Barcelona, Spain

The 'Ultra Smart F700', a special version in its Ultra Edition lineups has a 2.8 inch full LCD screen, touch screen user interface.

It's a next level up of the latest touch screen bandwagon and features a unique "Drag and drop" interface which lets user navigate a specific part of the screen.

The "Drag and drop" method of finger touch screen allows easier menu navigation. Finding specific point of music play list (left-right) and volume control (up-down). When viewing images, brightness and picture size can be controlled utilizing the touch screen.

In addition to the convenient touch screen, a sliding QWERTY keyboard makes typing E-mails and documents and surfing internet easier.

Slide out QWERTY keyboard is the ideal choice for e-mailing, writing documents and internet surfing.

Samsung's Rep said the Ultra Smart F700 has HSDPA with lightning download speeds of 7.2 Mbps. which makes it anideal mobile web phone. The speed of 7.2 Mbps is equivalent to downloading a 4MB MP3 song in just 4.4 sec. Thus far the fastest HSDPA phone released in Korea supports up to 1.8Mbps.

Other features found on the handset include a top of the line 5 Megapixel camera: auto focus, hand shake compensation, semi-auto shutter, high output LED flash and digital functionalities, MP3, Bluetooth 2.0 and multimedia functions.
