On 7th, Samsung Electronics has unveiled the latest mobile convergence device, Deluxe MITs (Deluxe MITs SPH-P9000) at 'Samsung Mobile WiMAX Summit 2006'. The SPH-P9000 is the PDA type true convergence device capable of simultaneous voice and multimedia data communications through Mobile WiMAX technology.
With the introduction of the Deluxe MITs, Samsung predicts more activity within related wireless market and even more variety of choices in WiBro services. Samsung's SPH-P9000 will be launched in Korea first half of 2007 with more devices to follow in their portfolio lineup.
Samsung said "MITs is truly a unique and versatile mobile convergence device (wireless mobile phone, PC, audio, MP3 player, gamer, digital camera, camcorder and storage device) that combines wireless voice communication, internet, entertainment, and even financial service all into one high-tech digital device".
Deluxe MITs comes with Mobile WiBro and CDMA 1x EV-DO connectivity allowing the mobile phone connection for voice, text and video communication. Also with Windows XP as the operating system, users can run a familiar document applications and array of easy to use multimedia function for work and play.

It's also a MP3 player, digital camera and camcorder with array of multimedia entertainment functionality not to mention ability to view T-DMB broadcasts via USB port. 5-inch LCD, 1GHz CPU, 30GB HDD, 1.3 mega pixel camera are all packed into this product.
The Deluxe MITs 5-inch WVGA LCD screen is designed like butterfly wings allowing user to freely adjust viewing angles and fully collapsible QWERTY keyboard as an added convenience. In addition, its extra small sized bluetooth messenger can be used for real-time connectivity to access full features of cell phone.
Meanwhile, Samsung through this forum also unveiled PDA type WiBro MITs, model SPH-M8100 which also features VoIP and T-DMB capabilities. Samsung is preparing WiBro service in US with Sprint and Nextel and other major global carriers. Samsung is also looking to form 'WiBro global roaming belt' as there long term project with these telecom companies to continuously drive the market with pioneering telecommunication technology and services.
