As world's first, Intel proved high reliability of its dual core based entertainment Notebook PC with online game playoff while traveling at high speed of 300km(186mph) inside moving train.
Sponsored by Intel Korea on the 27th from KTX(high-speed railway), designed specifically for the games, 'Intel Centrino Duo Mobile game playoff' provided its limitless reliability on different areas to show off the notebook' mobility, safety and many possibilities for the Dual Cored all in one entertainment PC.
The event's online game competitors played 'battle field 2' via wireless network and using headphones and microphones to communicate between each other¡¯s tactics.
It is special to note that the entire event took place using the battery operated wireless notebook pc instead of regular desktop computers
Intel's marketing affiliate explained "This event was prepared to demonstrate dual core platform-Centrino Duo notebook's ability to handle heavy graphic 3D online games just with the battery power" about the events intended purpose.
Notebooks with Intel's Centrino Duo platforms main features are Dual-Core with 70% performance boost and more efficient battery, 28% less consumption and wireless and other options to connectivity and 30% reduction in physical size
Most of the event participants are used to playing on desktop Pcs but didn't take too long for them to get comfortable with notebook interface environment.

The event's three games were FIFA 2006, Battle Field 2 and Need for speed furnished by EA Korea. Preliminaries from each game selected 16 players comprised of Pro and Amateurs and competed in high-speed train while it is traveling from Seoul to Daegu.
Playoff was on with 30(10 demos, 20 game Pcs)game notebook PCs were preinstalled inside the train were operated in wireless environment without any hard wires or LAN lines along with 12 cell batteries that were also prepared beforehand.
Each notebook pc had its own network server and unique access point to eliminate any conflicts among the players. In addition, broadcasting PDP and notebook servers and switching equipments
all used powers drawn from AP's UPS.

Event's participant Black Craw team leader Won-Il Choi said "using the notebook pc keyboard to play the game was little odd at first but with this kind of high connectivity I will continue to enjoy playing online games using notebook PC without any problems."

And pro gamer Hak-Jin Hwang who won the FIFA 2006 playoff said "Playing the game while traveling at 186 mph without any difficulties was really a new experience for me." to express his thoughts on using notebook PC.
Intel Korea's president Hee-Sung Lee who kept the close eye throughout the playoff said "This event was a very good opportunity to demonstrate much improved Centrino Duo Mobile technology that has very high processing power to handle high tech demanding games and also its ability to handle mobility in any situations."
He also added, "Next replacement 'Core 2 Duo' (200% better than current Core Duo) will soon be introduced in about two months."
Also in the event were friendly matches between the FIFA gamers and technology reporters on FIFA 2006 game and demonstration of internet phones data communication using VoIP, DMB, and EVDO.
